Please print out this guide and then return to the online testing scenarios. Use this guide for a screen-by-screen explanation of every step for all four tests.
Test Scenario 1 — 15 Images
Correction of errors in a single trade list.

Test & Screen # Description

01-01 Default view of the Que Tab, showing trade lists for the entire trading desk.

01-02 The trader wants to filter the Que to show only their own Que. They click the pull down in the lower left under Current View to initiate the change.

01-03 Now the trader sees only their own trade lists in the Que, and this is reiterated by the Current View "My Que" pull-down in the lower left.

01-04 The trader selects a trade list to do error correction to and clicks activate.

01-05 The trader now sees the Active Tab, with the master account reiterated in the tab.

01-06 Since all 7 orders with errors contain code 2, but one also contains two other errors, the trader selects the order with three errors and clicks the error description information icon to access details of the errors.

01-07 The error description pop-up is shown, detailing the full text description of all the error codes present in the order.

01-08 Based on the types of errors present, the trader needs to contact the Investment Manager to gather information on how to resolve the errors. By clicking the information icon in the Firm ID column, the trader accesses contact information.

01-09 The Firm Contact pop-up is shown, presenting detailed contact information, and providing the trader a place to enter notes specific to the Firm.

01-10 Based on contact with the IM, the trader wants to make a global change to all orders in the list to correct the Blue Sky error. The select all and change the symbol in one of the rows, by direct editing on the row.

01-11 Having clicked the icon in the Trader Notes column, the trader now has a place to enter a text description. This allows them to document the contact with the IM that authorized the change of symbol. Note that all rows show the new symbol. They may be able to simply enter this by typing in the row as well, depending on the length of text.

01-12 Now the trader needs to Override the two remaining errors in the last trade order. They first need to limit their selection to just this row. Note that the trader notes they entered on the previous screen are reflected in all rows.

01-13 The trader simply clicks Override to override the remaining two errors.

01-14 Having corrected all errors in the list, the trader selects all and clicks submit to complete their task.

01-15 Upon returning to the Que, the trader sees verification that this list has been processed: it is no longer in their Que view, and the summary now reflects that one list of 79 total orders has been processed.

Test Scenario 2 — 3 Images
Opening more than one Active List

Test & Screen # Description

02-01 Begin by assuming the trader was in the middle of working on the list from our first example. At the point of making contact with the IM, they were unable to get the required information. In order to work on a second list, they would return to the Que.

02-02 The trader selects their other list and clicks Activate. Note that the already active list is shown with a shaded background, and the Active tab shows the master account number of that list. These conventions are to assist the trader in knowing which list(s) are already active and which can be activated.

02-03 Upon Activating a second list, the trader arrives at a new Active tab, reiterating the master account number of this second list. Note that there are now two Active tabs.

Test Scenario 3 — 5 Images
Executing a predefined search, for lists with 4 orders with errors.

Test & Screen # Description

03-01 In this example, we begin in the Que with the Full Que view selected. The trader wants to execute a search for a trade list matching one criteria. They click search to pull up a dialog box.

03-02 The trader is presented with a simple dialog instructing them to select a predefined search or customize one for their needs. In order to see the list of predefined ones, they click the pull down.

03-03 A pull down menu drops down to reveal the predefined searches available. The third one down is what they need in this case so, they select it and release the mouse.

03-04 Because the selected search requires a data element to be entered by the trader, the Search dialog box has dynamically updated with the appropriate field. The trader enters the number and clicks continue.

03-05 The search results populate the Que tab, showing that one list matched the search for lists with 4 orders with errors. Note that the Current View display in the lower left now shows "Searched Que" and the Summary presentation shows the statistics on this unique searched view now. To return to either the Full Que or the individual trader Que, simply pull down the Current View selector and change the selection.

Test Scenario 4 — 9 Images
Executing a customized search, for lists from Firm ID 2139 and 34 orders

Test & Screen # Description

04-01 Again beginning with a Full Que view in our example, the trader clicks Search.

04-02 In the Search dialog box, the trader clicks customize this time.

04-03 Now the trader has a more robust, flexible search vehicle, in which they can construct complex combinations of elements to customize their search. They begin by clicking the first pull down.

04-04 Now the trader sees all the data elements on which they can base a search. They select Firm ID.

04-05 After entering the Firm ID in the right data field, they can click More Criteria to add a second element in their search.

04-06 Again, the trader clicks the left pull down to access the list of data elements from which to choose. Note: the Fewer Criteria button has become available, enabling the trader to revert to one criteria if they wish.

04-07 The trader selects # of Orders from the pull down.

04-08 Having defined the number of orders as 34 and the Firm ID as 2139, the trader clicks continue to execute the search. Note the Save button. This allows traders to save into the predefined list any customized searches they feel they would use frequently.

04-09 As in the first search example, the Que is now showing the search results: one list matched the criteria. The Current View again says Searched Que and the summary presentation has updated to show the statistics on this list.
